Online Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Serbian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce „SAKOM” November 7, 2022

We were pleased to expand the number of scholarship holders during the online meeting of the Board of Directors of the Serbian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce “SAKOM” held on November 7, 2022, thanks to the exceptional candidates who expressed their interest in our scholarship program.

Among the candidates for the scholarship were Željko Grbić from Belgrade, a first-year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, who achieved outstanding result in the Republic Competition in History; Stojan Vučinić from the village of Zupče in Kosovo, a second-year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, who is making his dreams come true with his diligent work and positive attitude; Milica Vučković from Obrenovac, a third-year student at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, a student of Spanish literature and culture, who participated at the YouthSpeak Forum and the recording of a show about Argentine culture; Klara Ćirić from Šabac, a third-year student at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, a future Anglicist and philologist with experience of participating in the Francophone Festival in Belgrade 2017-2019; and Bojana Jezdimirović from Obrenovac, a first-year student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade.

Students were unanimously accepted as part of our scholarship holders. As per our tradition, they received a SAMSUNG brand tablet as a gift, making it easier for every student to meet their academic obligations on time.

Additionally, applications for the extension of the scholarships of our previous scholarship holders Anastasija Plazinić, a second-year student at the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade, and Jelena Rakić, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Novi Sad, were approved, considering the academic results of the scholarship holders.

It was gratifying to note that our scholarship program not only attracts students but also companies that have demonstrated with their applications for membership in SAKOM that they acknowledge our social responsibility and efforts in the field of humanitarian work, as well as our efforts in improving bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and their people. The companies VeMeS doo Ivanjica, Komerc-Mali SRB doo Kraljevci, Mašinokop doo Šabac, and LHR doo Belgrade have become our most recent members by decision of the SAKOM Board of Directors.

We wish a warm welcome to all our new scholarship holders and members in the hope that together we will be achieving SAKOM’s goals.
