ONLINE MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SERBIAN-AZERBAIJANI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE “SAKOM”

At the fifth online meeting of the Board of Directors of the Serbian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce "SAKOM" on October 2, 2023, we had a pleasure of welcoming four hardworking and motivated students as our scholarship holders. These students are Luka Živković from Zvečan in the north of Kosovo, a third-year student at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Belgrade; Milica Simić, a first-year student at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad; Ognjen Čolić, a first-year student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade and Marija Pantić, a first-year student at the Faculty of Economics in Novi Sad. Milica, Ognjen and Marija are from Šabac and all three were recommended by the City Administration of Šabac.

Considering that studying without computer equipment is impossible today, we provided new scholarship holders with a Samsung tablet as a gift that has consistently been received more than positively by our scholarship holders.

In addition, scholarship holder Jelena Rakić, who is currently a graduate student at the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad and has attended all classes but has not yet passed all exams (Serb. apsolvent), got her scholarship extended for six months.

The Board of Directors drew attention to the importance of SAKOM's scholarship program, as well as the additional help SAKOM provides within its capabilities to scholarship holders who need it, but whose academic success and sense of social responsibility development during their scholarship validated our expectations and faith in them. One such scholarship holder is Stojan Vučinić, from the village of Zupče in the north of Kosovo. Currently, Stojan is a second-year student at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade, and at the end of the summer, he expressed his strong desire to master the English language, which he had not previously had the opportunity to learn. Based on Stojan's request, his family's circumstances, as well as his academic achievements and personal qualities, the Board of Directors decided to allocate funds that will enable Stojan to attend the course during this school year.

Congratulations to all our scholarship holders and best wishes for the new academic year 2023/24!
