The Serbian-Azerbaijani Business Forum, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia on November 21, 2022, attracted significant attention from both Serbian and Azerbaijani companies from the fields of energy, construction, agriculture, metal, chemical, and textile industries.
The Forum itself, which took place prior to the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to Belgrade, provided a significant indication that Serbia and Azerbaijan have much potential to deepen their relations. Likewise, Mihailo Vesović from the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, pointed out that these countries have excellent relations and a strategic partnership that entrepreneurs should take advantage of.
Mr. Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, reminded the audience of the numerous potentials that exist especially in the agricultural, tourism, pharmaceutical, and IT fields. In his speech, he emphasized the most prominent Azerbaijani company that is present in Serbia, the construction company Azvirt, which is the SAKOM member. He urged Serbian companies to explore the possibilities of further cooperation between the two countries.
All SAKOM members were actively involved in this business event, and we hope this business forum will serve as a foundation for further cooperation and enhancement of bilateral and economic relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
