I would like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to SAKOM for providing me with financial support and motivation in terms of studying and my further progress. My plan is to continue my education at the master’s studies and, afterward, at the Ph.D. level, once I finish my undergraduate program. My greatest wish is to study abroad at one of the prestigious European universities, and thanks to the SAKOM scholarship, I am one step closer to achieving this dream.
Considering the many departments that I could enroll in, I realized that my interests are primarily in areas related to medicine. Therefore, I have decided that bioinformatics or e-health is the path I want to take to build my career. My goal is to influence as many lives as possible and thus be part of the change in the world by dealing with DNA analysis to find a cure for cancer, implementing an innovative medical device, or other similar things.
If I had the opportunity to visit Azerbaijan, I would first look at its cultural and historical values: the Heydar Aliyev Center, the Old City of Baku, and its renown Palace of The Shirvanshahs and Maiden’s Tower, Bibi-Heybat Mosque, Gobustan Reserve and many more. I would visit various national parks and natural sights of this country (Shahdag National Park, Mud Volcano, Yanar Dag, etc.) and try all the famous national dishes. The next step would be a tour of institutions related to bioinformatics, among which the IMBB (Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology) would undoubtedly be the first. I hope to have the opportunity to travel to Azerbaijan as soon as possible and visit all the beautiful places on my wish list.
It is a beautiful feeling to be a part of the friendship between our two countries. Thank you for everything!
