The first thing I would like to say is that it is an honor and a pleasure to be one of SAKOM’s scholarship holders, and I would also like to thank you for providing me with this opportunity. The scholarship provided me with enormous financial support and took a huge burden off my and my father’s backs. For me, it represents additional motivation to achieve all my goals during my studies successfully.
I view myself as a highly qualified and respected health worker following graduation from the Faculty of Medicine. Aside from caring for the sick and treating them, my daily duties will include education, prevention, improving the health of the entire population, as well as improving the health system in which I will be a part of. There are other responsibilities associated with the title of graduate nurse, which is not well known in our society. These responsibilities include regular participation in the creation of scientific research papers and monitoring papers of others’. The work of nurses has evolved considerably in the last 25 years, many new tasks have been added, and much more is expected of them.
I hope one day I will have the opportunity to visit Azerbaijan. I love to travel but rarely have the opportunity. First of all, I would like to get to know the people and the entire Azerbaijani culture in general. In terms of sights, I would like to walk around the old city of Baku, visit Baku Boulevard, Fire Towers, Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Carpet Museum, and possibly something else, depending on how much time I would have in Azerbaijan.
