The last online meeting of the Board of Directors of the Serbian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce “SAKOM,” held on December 19, resulted in 6 new scholarship holders, increasing their number to 28, and a new member, Mr. Rasim Ziyatkhanov.
Among the six scholarship holders mentioned, four are from Šabac and they attend the University of Novi Sad. They are Anđela Pospišek, a first-year student at the Faculty of Technical Sciences; Jelena Lazić, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Medicine; Tamara Gligorić, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, and Dragutin Vuletić, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Medicine. As students who have achieved outstanding academic success, they have been recommended by the City Administration of Šabac.
Aside from them, Katarina Jović, a first-year student at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, and Aydin Malikli, an Azerbaijani student, currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, were also accepted as scholarship holders.
The all received a Samsung tablet as a gift, which makes it easier for them to manage their student obligations.
Additionally, we were pleased to extend scholarships to our old scholarship holders, who have exceeded our expectations with their diligent work and outstanding academic performance. Among them are Jovana Ristić and Milena Lazarević, fourth-year students of the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, attendees of the Azerbaijani language course, who have been with us since the very beginning of the scholarship program. We are proud of their achievements and of the fact that we have been able to support them throughout their academic journey for the past two years and for the current third year.
Students who were accepted for the first time last December were granted with the scholarship for one more year. These students are Dunja Pupavac, who succeeded in enrolling in her master’s studies this year at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, and volunteers diligently in the research laboratory; Jovana Džodić, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade; Marija Nikolić, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, and Anđela Stojanović, a third-year student at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade.
Ultimately, we were pleased to have Mr. Rasim Ziyatkhanov, a young expert who has been living and diligently working in Serbia for the last 10 years, as a newly appointed member of SAKOM, representing the Azerbaijani side.
