SAKOM scholarship holder won a gold medal in the „Muay Thai“ fight

One of the main motives of SAKOM’s scolarship program for Serbian and Azerbaijani students is financial assistance to young people who achieve significant academic results through their efforts and work, and who need financial assistance during their studies. However, it makes us extremly happy when we receive news that among our scholarship holders is someone who besides their academic success also has other, extracurricular ones.

This time, Uglješa Vučinić, a third-year student of the Academy of Applied Studies at the Department of the College of Health, had some good news for us. Uglješa won first place at the humanitarian sports competition „Muay Thai“ held in Mladenovac.

We convey Uglješa’s impressions from the competition:
„Although I had very strong and challenging opponent, I earned the victory and won my first gold medal. I have very positive impressions from the competition itself. This is an extraordinary experience that I will remember and that will be valuable to my future self. I’m glad that with my participation and victory I contributed to the humanitarian competition and children who needed help. Serbian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce „SAKOM“ gave me an example of how to take care of others and look after them. I’m very glad that I’ve helped others while playing the sport I love. I’m proud to be SAKOM’s scholarship holder because caring for others is the greatest victory.“

The Serbian-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce „SAKOM“, values education but also motivates young people for academic development, it finds huge importance in sports and sports activities among young people. Our scholarship holder Uglješa Vučinić shares this opinion and says:

„I think that sport is a beautiful thing that cannot harm anyone, but can only have a positive effect on an individual. It can help a lot both in the physical and mental, as well as in the social development of a person. It can help children to acquire discipline, which they will definitely need in order to progress in other things later in life. As for martial arts, they can help people with low self-confidence and encourage them.“

We would like to once again congratulate Uglješa on his success. We wish him to continue achieving academic and sports success in the future and to continue motivating young people in such manner.
