As part of the Azerbaijan Culture Days in Belgrade, an exhibition showcasing Azerbaijani cultural heritage was held at the Palace of Art “Madlena” during the period April 18-20, 2023.
On this occasion, SAKOM scholarship holders and members visited this exhibition on April 19, 2023, where all visitors could see traditional Azerbaijani carpets of Azerhalch and Karabakh, handmade toy characters inspired by Azerbaijani folklore stories by Azerbaijani artist Diana Isayeva, drawings made in ink technique and abstract paintings inspired by the architecture of Baku and the beauty of the Absheron
Peninsula by the Azerbaijani artist Yevgeniya Turkoglu, the works of the designer Leyla Hasiyeva made using the Kurama technique, that is, quilting or patchwork in the production of furniture, as well as the national Azerbaijani costumes of the designer Gulnara Halilova.
Additionally, all visitors enjoyed Azerbaijani tea and pahlava, a national delicacy made of thin layers of pastry with honey and chopped nuts.
